Lock Plz (lockplz.com) is a free novelty website that displays a personalized full-screen joke when someone forgets to lock their screen. This page explains what data the site does and does not collect.
The names you enter in the launcher form (the “victim” name and
optional boss/HR name) are used only to render the joke in your own browser.
They are never sent to our servers and are not stored
anywhere except temporarily in your browser’s sessionStorage,
so the form remembers your last entry if you navigate back. Closing the tab
clears it.
One template (“Twitch cam”) asks for webcam permission to display a fake live stream. The video stays entirely on your device, is never recorded, transmitted, or saved, and the camera is released the moment you exit the template. If you deny permission, the template shows a fallback instead.
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymous traffic (page views, country, device type). Google may set cookies for this purpose. No personally identifying information is collected by us. You can opt out with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
This site uses Google AdSense to display ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies at aboutads.info/choices. Ads appear only on the launcher page — never on the full-screen joke itself.
